Does Helpful require an app?

No. Customers use Helpful directly through their mobile browser. Cell service and cell access is required. Employees use a free app to receive help requests from customers.

Do employees need mobile devices?

Mobile devices are preferred but not required. Helpful supports mobile, desktop, and landline-based workflows.

Can Helpful integrate with my website or app?

Yes. Helpful works out of the box, but some integrations are possible based on requirements. Let’s discuss your needs.

How do I set up my store before using QR codes?

After completing your subscription and first login, you must configure your store before generating QR codes.
This includes:
-Adding your store name and logo
-Creating zones (logical areas of the store)
-Creating locations (specific physical spots within zones)
-Adding employees and assigning them to zones and locations

Once this setup is complete, you can generate and assign QR codes to locations. QR codes cannot be created without completing these steps.

How do customers request help using a QR code?

Customers simply scan the QR code placed at a specific location in your store.
After scanning, they can:
-Send a help request through the system
-Or call the Help Desk directly (if this option is enabled)

Once a request is sent, the system automatically looks for an available employee based on the store’s assignment rules.

How do my employees get notified about customer requests?

Employees receive requests through the mobile application.
They will only receive requests when their status is set to Available.
Depending on your configuration:
-Requests are assigned automatically (based on location → zone → store)
-Or remain unassigned until you manually assign them

How can I monitor employee availability and request progress?

In the Employees and Requests sections of the admin panel, you can:
-See each employee’s current status (Available, Busy, Offline)
-Track which employee is handling which request
-Monitor request statuses in real time (New, In Progress, Helping, Done, etc.)
-Reassign requests manually if needed

Employee statuses update automatically based on their activity in the app.

How do I update, replace, or delete a QR code?

You can manage QR codes at any time from the QR Codes section:
-Edit QR code details (name, identifier, location, or zone)
-Reassign a QR code to another location
-Delete QR codes that are no longer in use

When a QR code is deleted, it becomes inactive immediately and can no longer be used.
 If a location or layout changes in your store, simply update or reassign the QR code instead of creating a new one.
